Our New Best Friend
I caught this little guy in our bathroom. He was running along the tile and so I picked him up to take him to the kids since they love to "pet" the "geeko" (that's how Cade pronounces it!). These geckos are all over down here and we try to keep them around since they do a pretty good job at keeping the bugs out.
I'm not sure which is cuter, my nasty finger nails or the gecko! ENJOY!!!!

Superman
These are just a couple of pictures of Brooklyn and Cade playing Superman. They love to try to lift each other up with their legs and 'fly', but as you can see from Cade crossing his arms in front of his face, they aren't very successful at getting up in the air.
Yes I know that the pictures are blurry. I planned it that way to show motion since Superman flies so fast!

Baseball
As a lot of you know we have been called as ward missionaries and Chelsea has done so much with one recent convert whose name is Lynda. Chelsea takes the kids over there and they visit in her home at least twice a week and Lynda absolutely loves the kids (I mean who doesn't though!). She is so nice and is always giving them things. This most recent time they went over there she gave them each a baseball glove and a softball and the kids have been loving it. Thanks Lynda! Last night I didn't get home until late and the kids were just going to bed but I got to play catch with Cade a little bit. He was crying when I told him he had to go to bed and I promised him we would play today. So when I got home he immediately ran into his bedroom and got he glove and came running to me with the ball in the other hand saying, "Catch Daddy, catch." They are so fun. Anyway, just thought I'd snap a quick picture, or actually Chelsea took the picture, just to put on the blog.

Cat Woman and Harley Man
Ever since Heath got his scooter he has sworn off ice cream and has been working out like crazy. He has been laying out by the pool most weekends but for some reason always covers his face. Heath has traded all of his levi's in for leather and even bought an outfit for me. We've gotten good feedback from some of our friends and thought we'd share this picture with everyone. This is our typical attire as we go out on the town on Heath's scooter. Texas has definitely helped us break out of our shells wouldn't you agree?

Another Day At Sea World
We hit the water park this time. We went with our favorite friends here in Texas Bryson and Kobe Simonton.
Brooklyn and Cade are obsessed with hugging Shamu. We stood in line twice because the first hug wasn't good enough.
This is at "Lunch with Shamu". Brooklyn who is currently breaking out of her shell, loves to go up front all by herself and dance like crazy. She even joins in the congo line around the restaurant. Maybe we'll hit Brittney Smith up for some dance lessons once we get to AZ.

The Surprise Visitors
So it has been a couple weeks now, and we are just getting around to posting the fun weekend we had with Adam and Fabiane. They were heading down to Brazil from Oklahoma and decided to grace us with their presence. It was so fun when they called from Houston on Friday night and told us that they would like to make the 3 hour drive from Houston to San Antonio to stay the weekend with us. We were so excited to have them here. It was a great surprise.
On Saturday we took Adam and Fabiane downtown to engulf them in pure Texas history at the Alamo and Riverwalk. Notice Cade on the roped off grassy area? Yeah, he was almost arrested by the Texas Ranger that guards the Alamo, no joke!
I'm not sure if you can tell from the small pictures, but even though we all had a great time, we were all just a little bit greasy from the blasted heat and humidity.
Thanks Adam and Fabiane for driving over 6 hours just to come and visit. We loved your company and just so you know the kids really miss you! Brooklyn continues to ask for Fabiane to hold her. We love you, and hope you are having fun in Brazil. Glad you finally made it there!
What a cute family I have!!

Invisalign Conference Getaway
I am in Dallas, TX this weekend doing an Invisalign Certification course. I'm sure most of you are familiar with this product. I had to drive up here from San Antonio, about a 4 hour drive, late Thursday night to attend this course as part of my residency program that I am doing. Unfortunately Chelsea and the kids were unable to make the trip so I'm hangin solo. Don't worry about me though, I was able to meet up with Emily (Allen) and her husband Joe, along with Stephanie (Allen) and her husband Dave, for dinner. Actually they were kind enough to treat me to dinner, so thank you Farnsworth family. It was really fun to go out to dinner with these guys, and I'm glad that it worked out that I was able to see them. It got me excited for our 10 year reunion coming up. Can't wait to see everyone, and catch up on ole times.
Chelsea, I miss you and I'll see you tomorrow! Love ya

Brooklyn the Not-So-Good Beautican
So I was getting Cade dressed this morning and I found his hair looking like this.
It goes around to the other side as well. I asked what happened and he said, "Brookie did it! Brookie did it!" I found Brooklyn and asked if she cut Caden's hair and she got her mischievous grin and said she did. I asked her where the scissors were and she told me that they were on her bed. I go in her bedroom and can't find the scissors but instead I find this.I walked back to Brooklyn and tried to scold her for cutting her pretty hair off but the harder I tried to talk the more I laughed. I was laughing so hard I had to walk out of the room. HER POOR HAIR!!! It's a mess. Just left of the center of her head she has got a major chunk of bangs. (The pictures don't do justice.) Then on either side she cut a huge chunk off. The center in the back is still long. The more I look at her new do the more it's resembling a mullet.
I think Heath is more upset than I am. I'm trying to find someone who will be able to fix it and Heath wants me to leave it as is. I think he is secretly hoping that mullets come back in style since he had one in the 2nd grade. Needless to say, we unfortunately had an eventful hair day. It was bound to happen but Brooklyn could have at least cut smaller chunks. I should have known something was wrong when they were in the bedroom and Cade was laughing hysterically.

756!
For those of you that have taken a vacation to somewhere out past Mars and have not heard that we have a new home run record in Major League Baseball, I thought I would post a clip of it so that you too can feel more a part of this earth.
Also, I am curious as to what all your opinions are of Bonds breaking Hank Aaron's record. I have my own personal beliefs that differ from the majority of MLB fans, but I will share those details if I get some of your opinions. So here it is in all its glory!

The Peanut Farm
Today I went to the Church's peanut farm in Pearsall, Texas. If you think small towns in Utah are something, you ain't seen nothin yet! This was a tiny little town full of...farmers with cowboy hats and THICK drawls! Need I say more. I spent all morning pulling weeds from the farm. Apparently, from what I was told, this is one of the only profitable church farms there is. Jiffy actually purchases some of the peanuts from this farm for their own peanut butter. The entire farm is around 1600 acres, but the peanuts are planted on something less than that.
For those of you that don't know what a peanut plant looks like, as I didn't before today, here is a shot of some of the field. The plants are pretty small and the peanuts are in the ground, much like potatoes.

Mitt Romney Takes the Glove Off
This is a video clip that I found on Hugh Hewitt's website and it is a video of Romney on a radio station in Iowa. The thing is is that he did not know that he was being video recorded when this took place. It is a great clip and I was glad to see him defend himself and our religion. I really, really like this guy!
